Gravity

Dark Raven Clique (characters)

Maxine Kramer aka Gravity

One of the most powerful members of the Forces of Chaos (whom were posted earlier in a group shot). In the world where her story takes place. People like her are hunted and killed by their very government. These people are those that are born with mind powers such as telekinesis and telepathy. Gravity is telekinetic with some skills in the area of psycho-kinesis (the ability to move objects without having them in site). Through the governments eyes, this makes her extremely dangerous, but through the eyes of her peers she is considered a goddess. She is a loyal follower of the rebel, Chaos and is easily the most trustworthy of the four member group.

She chose the code name Gravity to disguise her powers among those who do not know her. Those unfamiliar with her skills think that she has the ability to alter the gravitational pull of any object. By doing so, she is able to blend in with individuals who are born with "normal" powers and not cause too much attention to herself.

Gravity fights along side the Forces of Chaos to fight against a corrupt, mislead government in hopes of one day finding a way to live a peaceful life.

used his god-like illustration skills to create one hell of an Elektra pic that easily puts mine to shame. But, I'm not gonna shy away from posting my horrible attempt. Nope, I'm not known to back down, nope not me. But I do give props and I would just like to thank Mr. Canete for raising the bar with every post. True inspiration indeed!

DRC Headquarters and Randall's Bar

I've been playing with Maya lately. In class we've been doing 3D animation. I like 3D animation but I prefer the 2D traditiional stuff. I did like designing these rooms though. The first one is a design for one of the Headquarters for the Dark Raven Clique. I played around with the lighting in different scenes. I got some weird textures on the wall for one of the images so I gotta fix that. The sofa and computer chair was imported from Carrera's 3D library because I was running out of time.

Randall's came out really nice in my opinion. It's still unfinished because I need to add more bottles and make them in different shapes and stuff.

Yup, I had fun with these!

Cheetah Girl

Another illo that is still a work in progress. I just ordered a Wacom tablet so I plan to rework a lot of my colored stuff to get the hang of it. One thing I definitely plan on doing is making her body look furry. Here it is for now.

Lil Red

Here's a piece that I've been working at completing. I wanna get it done soon so that I can use it in my senior show so I got about a year left to finish it. (A year? I'll never get done!) I'm still grinding on this one as I learn new techniques and stuff. We'll see how it turns out.

And here is a link to an animated clip that I did for fun. The sound seems to be off slightly for some reason. It was working perfectly before I edited the size of the file. Also I colored the characters in Photoshop and the ToonBoom program created a halo effect around the characters for whatever reason. I guess I'll do all of my coloring in ToonBoom from now on.

Tracy and Chris

Tracy Thomas aka Wipeout and Christopher Childs aka Eclipse

Tracy is best friends with fellow teammate Chris aka Eclipse. They have known each other since they were kids. They have since been unseperable. They were training to become members of the Corp and showed incredible skill and prowess. Sniper noticed them and decided to recruit them to join the DRC. They agreed and have since become dependable members of the Clique.

Though they are the best of friends their personalities are completely opposite. Tracy is the loud mouth, foul mouthed party girl who loves to have fun and Chris is the quiet loner. Both Tracy and Chris are both enhanced humans meaning they were born with incredible powers. Tracy can increase the dexterity of her skin becoming as hard as steel. The harder she makes her skin the less mobile she becomes. Chris has the power to absorb energy. He can absorb energy blast from firearms or life energy from other lifeforms. He must then release this energy by recharging his body, fire energy blasts from his hands or other creative ways. If the energy is not discharged in a timely manner he can become physically and emotionally unstable.

DRC: Nebula

Code Name: Nebula
Real Name: Danielle Danes (DeeDee)

Here's DRC's second in command. She was also a member of the Corp Elite and specializes in computers. She is a class S hacker, meaning she is one of the highest ranked computer hackers in the business. Like Sniper, she also has cybernetic attachments. Nebula's cybernetics allow her to communicate with computers more freely. Now she acts as the eyes and ears of the DRC searching for mind powered beings and staying ahead of those who oppose her group. She doubles as the team treasurer, secretly withdrawing money from wealthy accounts to help fund the DRC. She targets wealthy organizations, taking small, almost unnoticable amounts from these accounts but just enough to support the teams needs and expenses.

Nebula is also a user of firearms and owns a pulse cannon, not yet released on the market. As a matter of fact. She stole the prototype and the blueprints from he previous employer as a parting gift. The missing blueprints make it near impossible for the cannon to be recreated. This is one way of stopping such a powerful weapon from getting in the hands of those who would use it to cause terror and destruction.

DRC: Sniper

Inttroducing Sniper
Real Name: Shawn Davids

Shawn is a former member of the Corps Elite. He discovered some shady dealings going on throughout the corporation and decided to dig deeper. Shawn found out information about the alien technology and the genocide of those who were born with the powers of the mind. Shawn was one of the lead members who carried out some of the assassinations. Feeling regret, he ran awol with his field partner, Nebula. Together they created the Dark Raven Clique and turned their focus to aiding the mind powered humans. They have now focused their attention on Kyana after reading her file and discovering that she has become the next target. They intend to end the assassinations, starting with her and bringing on a new peaceful era following the age of oppression.

Sniper has cybernetic augmentation that allows him to link to certain firearms. This enables him to lock on to targets and deliver direct hits at a 90% chance. He is deadly at long range but is still able to hold his own in hand to hand combat. More info on Sniper and the remaining members of DRC later.

DRC: Prologue (along with Cover wip)

Set in an alternate world similar to Earth, Dark Raven Clique is a story about destiny and how one can change there own fate. Dark Raven Clique is a story about a young girl named Kyana who is born with extraordinary powers.

The beginning: In the world of DRC, super humans walk the earth as the majority, Some thrive to do good, protecting those in need while many others choose a different route. Furthermore, science and technology is at a stand still. Those in power attempt failed experiments to push the boundaries of science even further.

One day an object falls from the sky crashing down on the planet below. The government agencies respond to the site discovering alien lifeforms. Many of the aliens died but those that survived were nursed back to health. Showing their gratitude, the alien survivors helped the people of the planet in their technological advances. Once the humans were satisfied with the results they turned on the aliens, imprisoning them and performing horrific experiments. With his last breath the last remaining alien prophesized that a powerful being would come to destroy the humans for their wrong doing. Years later a super human female named Scorn appeared. She was able to phenomianl feats with her mind. People were in awe and looked to her as a God until she began causing havoc and destroying everything in her sight. This type of power was unheard of and people thought that this was the being who the alien prophesized would come to destroy the world. Many lives were lost but in the end she was slaughtered, but she promised to one day return and finish the job she started.

This was the start of an age of oppression as more and more people were born with mind powers similar to the woman before them. They were seeked out and killed because everyone was afraid of such a power. As time passed some of these mind powered humans hid their true powers for their own sakes. The government has found out about this and have placed bounties on the heads of anyone who has these powers.

Upon further investigation, it is believed by some that the people in charge misunderstood the aliens warning. They believe that the mind powered beings are evolved and that they are the next generation of superhumans. It is also said that the prophecy have not yet occured and that this new generation of super humans appeared to aid in the saving of the world.

These views have cause major conflict and have led to many people actually protecting this new generation. Kyana Mitchell is one of those who are being protected, but her downfall may be right around the corner as people have started to become suspicious of her. Is she a savior or a destroyer and why does she have a striking resemblance to Scorn? Could she possible be her reincarnation or something else entirely?

Warcry: DRC cover 2 WIP

This is the cover (WIP) to issue 2 of Dark Raven Clique, featuring the leader of the mercenary group Murder 1. Her name is Maria Wolff but she goes by the name Warcry. Her main power is her enhanced strength.

Funny thing about her character is that she was basically created to humor the critiques and my peers. People would always say, "Chris, why do you draw your female characters with big breast?" The thing is that I usually don't but I created Warcry just to show them what a character with "Tig 'ol Bitties" would look like if I drew it. Enjoy!

In a few days I will post a general description of the DRC storyline to make things more clear and easier to understand. Hopefully I'll get to it this weekend.

Here are a few pages from a title I am working on called Strong Dragon. Issue one is complete in the pencil form and halfway done in the inks but I seem to have lost contact with the writer somehow. Issue one has been done in pencil form since September 2005 and still no issue 2 script. Wish I knew what was going on because I was really getting into the story. I feel it has so much potential. Maybe we'll all get beck on track and actually finish this book, hopefully!

I used to be a big fan of fantasy stuff and elves were always my favorite class so here is a few request I have had from friends over the past months. I plan on giving these some color in the future. Maybe after I get my tablet this summer.

This is the cover to issue 1 of a comic series that I'm working on called Strong Dragon. I'm done with the pencils for issue one and I'm currently waiting for the issue 2 script but it still haven't recieved it. Hopefully everyone involved can continue to work on the project because I was really starting to like it. I'll post some pages later.

The Adventures of Pookie and Snuckums

Characters for another animated project that is on the backburner for now. I'll probably get back to it after finishing Love and Hate. I'll be dropping off more illos in a few days so be on the look out!

1st Post!!!

What's up everyone? I decided to create a blog for myself. During the past couple months I have been influence by numerous artistic bloggers out here and it led me to join the community. Hopefully I can get the chance to actually interact with some of you and become a total fanboy all over again. I am working on numerous projects at the moment so expect a lot of artwork in the near future. As for right now, I gotta try to get a hang of things here. Later!
